Advice on room layout and wall mounting

Hi I would appreciate some advice here. I have wanted to wall mount my television for a while. I have my living room set out facing the window and to me this seemed the best position to have the living room in. I guess I feel that the room has a better flow and looks better in that position. With the room positioned as this though it kind of limits where I can wall mount the television as you can see from this picture. The gap where I could wall mount the television is 80cms.

I suppose I could get it in that gap but that would be pushing it maybe and I would have to do away with my curtains which are brand new.
I used to have the tv on this ducal stand but I want something a bit more modern now. Sorry for the poor quality pictures I took them with my phone.

I also thought about getting a cantaliver stand. I really only want one with mainly the the colour white though and I have not seen any that I really like. This is second best I think as my heart as been set on wall mounting the television. Maybe If you have seen any stands that you think may appeal to me if you could point them out I would appreciate it.

I have re-organised the room again and it looks like this

…….the tv in this position could of course would be wall mounted on the wall.
What layout do you think looks best how it was before or now. I tried out my room out like this before except where the tv is placed in the second lot of pictures is where the sofa was placed and vice-versa. My niece said that she preferred the room like this compared to how it was before because she had that she thought it looked more cosey.

What do you think…maybe I should try and leave the room how it is for a few days and see what I think. I am just so used to having the layout of the room how is it in picture one for some reason.

I think that i am going to go for it how it is in the second set of pictures. I have a few other things that i am planning to do to the room as well. I am planning to buy new light shades and a beveled wall mirror.

My brother in law will mount the tv for me i will just have to be creative on trying to hide the wires. I am thinking about getting some of these to do the job i am considering painting over them so that they would match the colour of my walls.

I got a bracket like this as i thought the longer types might look quite unsightly given the position that the tv will be in.

There is a bit of a problem the power lead for the television it is just so short i don't know why Toshiba made them that way.
I doubt that the tv lead is going to even reach the ground when the tv is mounted on the wall. The tv is going to be plugged in that power socket you see in the picture. My aerial point is situated near where the green chair is in the picture and i could run the aerial cable through the floor cable management.

Tankrs thank you for your help. I went to go and have another look at the tv and there seems to be a removable flap attached via a screw that i think could be removed in order to change the power cord to a longer one.

I tried to get the screw out to double check but it was not so easy so i will leave it to somebody who is a bit more experienced than me to get the screw out. I will though buy that part anyway as i do think that somebody probably will be able to get my power cord of.
