Converting scales 1:100

I just got my drawing s through for the new place i am building and cannot for the life of me find my architect scale ruler to work out the final room sizes. anyone here remember how to work out 1:100 ratio. ie if a room is 40mm across how much is that in real sizes on a 1:100 scale. any help would be much apprecited.

Re: Converting scales 1:100

well thats what i thought, but the sizes don't add up when i do that. basically have a floor space of supposedly 56m^2 for the kitchen and utility but using the ratio i thought it only comes out to 30m^2. i am sure you times it by 1000 and then divide by 25 or something. anyone else fancy a gander at this. searched google etc and not getting anything about this.

Re: Converting scales 1:100

The divide by 25(.4) is for converting miilimetres to inches
