| Mounting plasma on chimney wall issue
Hi all,
We've finally found the house we want and are due to move in in the next few weeks so obviously, I've started to think about the AV setup.
There is a loung/diner with a chimney and gas fire in both. I have contacted a heating engineer and he can remove these (outdated and ugly) gas fires for a reasonable amount but the back boilers would have to stay put, unless I get the whole lot re-done (which I don't want to do!).
Due to this, would it be ok to still mount the plasma on the wall once the fire has been taken off? I'm a bit weary of drilling into the wall for the anchor bolts if there's a possibilty I'm going to hit something. Also I won't be channeling any cables in the walls, these will be covered with plastic casing.
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks,
Garry.
