Help for corner of lounge project - pic attached

Hi - I wonder if I can have some ideas about what to do in the corner of my lounge. I have a new Panasonic 32LXD70 (it's fantastic) and as you can see I've put a sturdy wall mount up with a cantilever arm. My wife has said that the fireplace cannot be taken out

Therefore I'm left with the corner where the TV currently is. The table on which it sits has to go in my opinion and I'm thinking about floating shelves for the Sky Box, DVD Recorder and I intend to integrate my PC base unit. Ideally I want to put up a false chimney arrangement that I have seen in this forum - they look great, but I'm not sure I can get away with it with the fireplace right next to it....

Any ideas?

hi,

maybe replace the current storage unit with one matching the wood colour of the fireplace; a lower height unit may look more discreet. To hide any cabling perhaps attach a decorative panel to the wall (can be lightweight)between the storage unit and the lcd.
