help needed for first setup

Ive just bought a sony 6.1 surround system and i was hoping for some advice to set it up. TBH I feel quite embarrassed about this after looking at some of the setups on this forum but anyhow id thought i might give it a try.
Im sure this is quite common but my bedroom is not ideally suited for this setup so bearing this in mind and some other factors i decided to have it set on on side of the room ( I hope ive uploaded the picture correctly). The room is around 5 metres x 3.2 and the red dots on the pictures are where i hope to put the speakers, attached to the wall possibly close to the ceiling, The sixth speaker possibly fitted into my bed.
Im still researching on this so i realise this is most likely not the best option, however any advice would be appreciated. If it helps: I have a sony HT-ddw890, panny tx32lxd70 linked to PC, and denon 1940 dvd player.

Have a look at the FAQ thread at the top of this forum, if you are still having truble uploading the images then you could use photobucket as an alternative.

upload your images to photobucket first, just google it and d/load the program. Then when on photo bucket hit the direct link tag of the photo you wish to upload, then click the insert image tag on your thread reply page and paste the photo, preview it first and voila

Re: help needed for first setup

Hi again nassa.....

Do you also wish to change your room about, as it seems like a lot of space is being wasted, you could do with spacing the speakers out more to get a better effect.....

Will your wardrobe no fit the other side of the chimney....

What is the second bed for, can that not be moved nearer the sewing machine if it is just a spare ??

Such a great space deserves a lot of thought.....

Deano

EDIT> I forgot to ask do you have stands for your speakers or are they all wall mounted.......
