Heating outbuilding

Hi all, I had my outbuilding converted about 3 years ago. It is at the end of my garden, approx 120 feet from the main house, is approx 25 feet by 14 feet and is brick built with a pitched roof. When converted it was insulated in wall and also the loft.

My question is what is the cheapest way to heat it during the winter. At present I have an oil filled radiator but we have noticed how much electric this uses. What I want is a cheap way of just keeping the room at a cool/warm temperature all the time and then just using the oil rad to top it up when I am out there e.g. weekends, couple of evenings.

Any advice appreciated,

TIA

Dan

Wink Re: Heating outbuilding

I found out that i would have the same problem so what i've come up with is having 2 3kilowatt heaters on thermostates so the the room can be kept at a constant temperature (because of the moisture with the electricals left in there) this way you can set the room to what ever temperture you want it and it will cut out automatically when it reaches it.
