Re: false / floating wall wood effect ????

Hi

Depending on the size of area you are after then I suppose possible options for a dark wood effect would be to use:

exterior plywood and stain it to your desired colour/shade
laminate flooring/panelling
solid wooden flooring/panelling
* an interesting and cheap option may be to use flooring lino in a dark wood effect, it would also help the sound in the room.

Ultimately use your imagination and something might surprise you how effective it is.

Cheers

8x4 sheet of 3/4" Oak veneered MDF, stained to the the colour you want. About £45. Done deal!

If buget is an issue then you can get an 8x4 sheet of 3/4" Birch veneered ply from B&Q for about £25, once again stain to the colour you want.
