chimney breast mounting

im thinking of taking a chance and mounting my lcd on the chimney breast of my working solid fuel open fireplace , im going to light a fire over the wekend and record the temp at the postion were im going to mount the lcd.

have any of you guys mounted your tv`s over a working fireplace , im also thinking of trying to find a heat reflector of some description to mount under the mantle- piece , any ideas would be most welcomed.
