Acoustic Insulation for Floors MLV vs green glue

I know the vexxed subject of acoustic insulation has been trashed out here and elsewhere but my question is quite specific.

I'm converting 3rd floor into a Home Cinema and I'm trying to achieve a decent level of acoustic insulation.

My intention is that Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) will be laid over timber joists and existing thermal insulation. T&G chipboard flooring will then be laid on top, cf. the last image @ http://www.customaudiodesigns.co.uk/...ofing/emem.htm
I intend using "green glue" between 2 layers of Plasterboard on the walls & ceilings.

My question:
In terms of acoustic insulation for floors which is better:
"green glue" between 2 layers of T&G chipboard flooring
-or-
MLV then one layer T&G chipboard flooring ?

Help appreciated
Thanks.

No expert but i would have thought MLV would be better as thats whats it's designed for, were as Green Glue is designed for walls.

However if you are doing this to stop the sound leaking to the room below, then why not just fit a false ceiling in that room with insulation/air gap? I would have thought it would cost the same or less and should give far better results than either of the two methods mentioned.

Fair point but there are multiple rooms below. Whatever I do will have to be from top down.
