New house, new multi-HD set-up required

Hi folks

A little help is required from esteemed knowledgeable members of the forum!

Currently in the living room of my 1 bed house I have a mix of new and older kit, but am very happy with what it provides. I have Telewest hooked up to a 42PX60, a 360 for DVD's over component and the sounds are provided by a Marantz SR4200 with Mission M72/M7C2 fronts and TEAC floorstanding small rears (from my Legacy 800 system which is upstairs in the bedroom.)

We are moving to a 4 bedroom house shortly which has a study and a cinema room, so I am looking to HD up my life in a seemless a way as possible, on a budget.

Ideally what I'd like to have is my bonzer PC upstairs in the study, which will have downloaded content from the US such as Lost, Heroes etc etc in HD.

I would like to be able to distribute that HD content on my PC to the 42PX60/XBox 360 combo in the cinema room, as well as the set-up in the living room which will probably be a 42PX70/Sky HD and A.N.Other method of playing streamed/copied media.

In my head I'd like to have a home network (not wireless) over which I can stream the HD content from the PC. Or failing that I could have local media players to each downstairs Viera (360 + A.N.Other) to which I can copy content from the PC over the home network, before watching it "locally".

There are so many media players out there its difficult to know where to start. I've seen the Pixelmagic HD Mediabox seems to be nearly meeting my needs... but it won't stream HD. It will play HD on a USB attached hard drive but you can't copy to the hard drives over a network (at least from the reviews I've read)

Can anyone walk me through the minefield of available products that could provide my desired end result?

Many many thanks in advance!
