Hi All,

For those of you,like myself,who have been recently following "Grooves" Foating plasma wall thread Groove's new lounge with floating wall build,
here is my current set of progress pictures to inspire those of you that are thinking of doing the same.

I had wanted to upgrade my current set-up for some time now and had the idea of mounting a plasma on a floating wall.
I had already planned what plasma that i wanted to buy after alot of research in the magazines and also here in the Pioneer 8G owners thread.

Then I found groove's thread here and WOW.......like it.....like it alot.
So groove,here's to you fella,you are an inspiration my friend.
So,on to the pictures
I had placed this paper cut out of the telly on the wall so the missus could get used to the idea of having a huge screen on the wall.
Eventually she gave in

A couple of trips to wickes for materials,then time for the all important health and safety briefing with the site forman,my 4yr old,who is not taking it seriosly at all LOL.[IMG]

With some help,and the one and only time I will ever let the Littl'n draw on the walls we planned it out.

Decided to cover the panel rather than paint it,so fabric stretched over and secured.

Following Groove's build on the forum,I have got some design tips,and inspiration to carry out my own build.
So Groove, I salute you sir.
I hope you like the progress so far,I can't wait to get it finished.

your an early riser mate or a later stayer upperer. Its great to see someone making good use of the work done on the threads. You seem to know what your doing and I like the fabric idea as well. If you`d done it white you could have used it as a screen for the forthcoming pj

Glad i could be of a little inspiration to someone....i really like what you've done there, the cloth is a stroke of genius........the sanding of the joins and screw holes on the MDF panels were things i still have nightmares about !

Ill be following your progress now ive found your thread with great interest and a touch of pride

Keep the updates coming mate.......cant wait to see more.

Hi Markie Boy,The material is a cotton and lycra mix 80/20%

Thank's Groove,
I came up with the idea of covering the panel with material rather than fill and paint due to the fact that i work with filler on a daily basis in my work.
I wanted to get the job done reasonably quickly so cheated a bit with the use of material.
