Black and White Bedroom

I am intending to redo the whole bedroom with a professional yet plain theme - i was thinking White walls with the 42 "WLCD mounted and a low table beneath with all av equipment stored on it

i want to know would a white wall and black carpet look silly - please speak the truth i wont be offended genuinely looking for advice - i can post pics of the room at present with dimensions for the best location if this helps anyone

thanks in advance

Black carpet will look good imo, but you will be fed up vacuuming all the time. I have very dark green carpet which shows every speck of dust.

Re: Black and White Bedroom

I own a house with my best mate; his room is black and white and it looks the b*ll*cks.
He has black and white floral wallpaper as a 'feature' wall behind his bed, the rest of the walls are white, as well as the wooden floor is painted a washy white (so the grain is still visible), then he has a black bed with white covers, and then a couple of deep red items i.e. a red throw for his bed and a red rug. But all together it looks pretty damned good and i would recommend.

Same here. I have a navy blue carpet in my lounge and it shows up everything!

Black and white

White walls will be fine, but I agree with the others about darker carpets showing up everything.

What about going a few shades lighter? I know you're venturing into grey territory, but it might work particularly if you're using black table and black boxes?
