Angry LCD TV STAND spares or modification

Strange One and probably in the wrong area but I finally bought the first part of my HTPC the case!!!
I got a Black ANTEC FUSION from GHS Tech in London £120.00 got it home unpacked it (very nice) slid it into the space in my stand and IT DOES NOT FIT.

Why did you not measure it I hear you say well I did.
I measured the height no problem with that, I even measured the width, again OK, but I forgot to measure the depth AGGGHHHH!!!

You see my stand is one of those classy three tier Dark Glass Stands with the chrome legs, I bought it with the TV from COMET or CURRY`s can`t remember.
It is wider at the front and tapers at the back, this I did not account for.

The only option I can think of to alleviate my dillema is to DOCTOR the rear supports of the stands I need to lose about 1.5 cm from each.

They are round tubes that slide onto a threaded bar so I could maybe hack a chunk out of each.

Anyone know where I could get some spares??
The stand has no name just comes in a cardboard box with STAND SUITABLE FOR LCD TV SKU 292923 Item Number KM-TS013M-K

Ta

Another suggestion was to move the rear base supports (form the level that the HTPC will sit on) E.G. dismatle the stand and re-build but this time dont slide the rear legs that sit between the bottom and middle glass onto the threaded bar but sit them off to a flank.

Don`t know if the glass is weaker at this point though??
