Settle an argument? LCD on wall - how high?

Ok....I know it's a bit like how long is a piece of string, lol.

Those of you who have wall mounted tvs....how high up have you got them? (Bottom of tv to the floor.)

I know everyone's will be a little different but even a rough average would be useful.

For the sake of the argument, can we exclude those who have tvs above their fireplaces, as those tvs will likely have to be high.

(Some of your rooms are really great and you've got me planning now....but OH needs persuading.)

Rough guide, split the screen in to thirds.

Top of the first third from the bottom should be at eye height.

Thanks Dave.......want a laser spirit level guide thing to mark that out on wall, lol.

Sit down in your favourite seat and measure to your eyes. My entire set up is calibrated to my chair.

Exactly that, the centre of my screen is at MY eye level on MY favorite seat. Anybody else will have to get themselves into a position that suits them. Alot of people seem to mount the screens really high up, they must get a sore neck.

You can go higher than centre of screen in line with eyes, the thirds rule is good, just whatever you do don't mount it too high!!!
