Extractor Fan Wiring.

Is it possible to wire a bathroom extractor fan to the shower switch?
If so could someone who knows please explained in simple detail

hi john.you would have to take a 6mm/10mm cable from the switched side of the shower switch into a 3amp fused spur unit to downrate the fuse for the 1mm cable you would use to the extractor.
which apart from being a bit difficult due to size of cable to get 2 into the same connector,(especially if it is 10mm cable)is not really a method to use.
you really need to connect to the lighting circuit into a fsu and then to a new switch.there are other methods but you do know any work in a bathroom is part p and comes under building regs.
