Bass Traps - Does Colour Matter?

I am about to order 10 bass traps to position around a cellar. The room can easily be made very dark as only has a small window, therefore was wondering whether the colour of the bass traps around the walls is important.

The ceiling is white, the walls are also painted white, with patterned rugs on the floor.

Should I go for dark blue / black to reduce the glare?

Will probably build my own DIY screen with goo special paint.

Most reflections will come from your screen, the walls and the ceiling.
I would go for the aestethic approach and choose the colors which look best.

BTW: I made my screen with ScreenGoo, too, and I am very happy with it.

If the walls and ceiling are both white, then having darker coloured accessories won't make that much difference. You will still have a 'lightened' room when the picture is bright, less so, but still noticable on darker screens.

Only changing the colour of the walls / celing will change this...
