That'll be the traditional initial oh I thought it looked bigger on paper response. I had the same with my build, but it does seem much better now we are making progress.

I'll be keeping an eye on this one, looks like it will make quitea difference.

Re: Here I Go Again. Home Entertainment Extension

Hi TiSwAs,

Looking good so far, keep us posted with plenty of pictures!

I used the same Profigold scart for my install. Tried it out before it went in, and was impressed with the picture, as well as the build quality. Nice solid plugs, flexible flat cable and a sensible price. Good choice IMHO

ATB,
MarkP

Re: Here I Go Again. Home Entertainment Extension

I found it seems smaller than you think until the plasterboard goes up and then for some reason it seems larger again. The builder commented on that too....

Re: Here I Go Again. Home Entertainment Extension

Your right it is pretty similar to our proposals, except we have put a gable style roof on the front of ours.

Looks like things are moving very well and you will really enjoy it all when its done

Re: Here I Go Again. Home Entertainment Extension

Looking good, quick question if you don't mind... It looks roughly the same sort of dimensions we were thinking of adding on, but it's tricky to tell from pics. Kinda single garage sized ?

Re: Here I Go Again. Home Entertainment Extension

During my extension build I thought i would be a good idea to wire the kitchen up for media.

PC -
Dell GX240 P4 1.8Ghz
512mb Ram
300gb Hard Disk
USB Wi-FI
DVD-ROM

Amplifier - Kenwood 3020 (it's old but it does the job nicely.)

Monitor - 19" Viewsonic VX924 (will be replaced with LCD TV)

Cat5e Wired
Coax from Skybox to LCD

Speakers 2 x KEF Ci130QR's - Unfortunately during the build i lost the grills
