Exclamation Infrared remote control Extender/Sender

Hi Guys!

I need an infrared sender that will allow me to have a small receiver under my plasma in the living room, then wired to the adjoining room where i will have my sky and home cinema.

This will then allow me to fully control my equipment from the living room without having it on show.

I have found this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WIRELESS-IR-RE...QQcmdZViewItem

But dont need it wireless.

I have found a website that shows how to build them yourself with components from maplin for around £7 but would rather pay around £20 for something purpose built.

Any advice or recommendation's will be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and i need this within a week!

These ones seem popular mate:

Haven't got one for myself yet, but I intend too...

Re: Infrared remote control Extender/Sender

Yes i use the keene extender, and am very happy with it , i use
a low power emitter, stuck to the front of each piece of equipment, it
has worked every time for a year so far, the reciever is quite discreet

Re: Infrared remote control Extender/Sender

I've heard of problems mounting IR eyes near to Plasma TVs.
I think they make special IR receivers for use near Plasmas.
