My install

Thought I'd finally post a pic of my install. It is almost finished, just need to fit the skirting board. The TV has been in for about a month now. There have been no issues with heat even after heavy use, which I am really pleased with.

Thanks, I have been around on the forum for quite a while gathering info and waiting to move. The house is a new build so before it was just a flat magnolia wall so I didn't take any pics. I do have a few work in progress pics, see below, excuse the quality they are off my phone

Looks very neat and tidy matey , only criticism from me is that stand looks very beefy and very expensive!
You could have bought a much cheaper wall mount bracket and used a timber / metal frame work to mount it in the same place!

The only reason i went for the vogels mount is that it extends so i can pull the lcd out for access to the rear, granted it is pretty tight when you pull the screen out and not exactly a simple task but it does allow for a bit of fiddling if I ever need to change a cable. I would have gone for a cheaper mount if it was to stay fixed permanently but I just wanted to ensure i could get to the back if need be.

thanks, the speakers sound really good especially on movies with decent surround sound. I was slightly worried about them being too small and a little tinny as the creative audio site recommends the larger kef in wall speakers but they fill the room perfectly well as its not exactly a huge living room. They come with back cans so you don't lose a lot of sound into the wall and there's no vibration even when they are on really loud. Build quality and fixings supplied with the speakers are really good as well, suppose this contributes to the lack of vibration

Here's a few other pics of the room, the mcube speakers are currently sat on the settee, I have the wall brackets but haven't got round to fitting them and chasing the cables in yet.

I also need to sort the lighting out and get another lutron dimmer when we replace the energy saving bulb that is in. We have only been in the house for a couple of months though so I have been trying to sort out other rooms at the same time. We'll get there eventually

Nice setup, was there a fireplace there before or has that all be added. I thought about a similar setup but without a fireplace currently I'm not sure I can afford to loose that much room space (unless I put another shelf in above the AV equipment and above the TV)

There was a fire surround, marble hearth and fused spur for an electric fire but no actual fire, as with a lot of new builds they are a bit tight on fixtures and fittings. The fused spur was used to power the equipment and we got rid of the surround and hearth and built the chimney breast in its place.
