Ikea mash up AV cabinet.

Just thought I would post a pic of my planed av cabinet to get your views.

I am going to use Ikea STOLMEN componets as the basis and do a little modding to look like the sketch up pic.

Only thing I am planning to change from the pic is possibly replace the top drawer fronts with black perspex so I can hide av gear up there and still use remotes.

I will make them flap down for access to trays and buttons.

Also there will be no gaps between the units as I have just worked out I wont have the space.

Will hopefully get on it next weekend if I manage to make it to an ikea

Yes, that looks really good. Not seen the Stolmen stuff instore, but just had a quick look on the website. Looks nice, and pretty cheap too!
