How to make dampened cabinet doors

I have a marble coffee table (supported by 2 legs at either side) under which lies my AV equipment. At the moment it is stacked on each other. I wish to custom make a 2 shelf unit to slide under the table (i.e. the space between the legs). The bottom to house my amp, cd player + sky box, the top, the central speaker. I wish to add a single dampened hinged black/tinted glass door to the lower portion such that on tapping it opens upwards and out. It is the latter I am stuck with - anyone know where to get the latter cut or custom made?

Re: How to make dampened cabinet doors

Try here http://www.hafele.co.uk/ for hardware. They have the best range of fittings I've seen - unfortunately they are "TRADE ONLY" (you can view the site as a guest) but if you find what you want - they seem to have a couple of auto-opening stays - you may be able to get the item from a good retailer such as Isaac Lord. Hope this helps.

get down to ikea and have a look through their modular furniture systems..

I am fairly sure I have seen furniture they offer with this sort of hinge.
