How to wire diplexed wall plates 4 loftbox?

I have just switched on my loftbox.

Picture seems poor slight snow, no text on bbc1 and itv, freeview poor on certain channels through the loftbox. Aerial alone is fine strong signal.

I have used a very high grade sat coax.

I am concerned about the global diplex sockets in the rooms. Do I connect the screen. The entire piece looks metal, I can not see any screening to stop the middle wire conducting with the coax screen through the die cast housing.
Do you connect the inner wire and the screen, i assumed the screen is clamped by the screw with flat piece of metal, and the middle wire in the hole with screw,

If I disconnect the screen the signal seems a lot clearer.
The entire piece looks die cast and looks as if the 2 wires will short if both connected.

I have the same or similar face plates, outputs are TV, Sat & FM. The inner cable connects as you say and the shielding clamps under the flat plate. The thing that suprised me with these is that you use the TV output to receive signal from the RF2 on the Sky box / TV channels through the Loftbox. You just tune another channel on the TV for Sky. I assume you use the Sat output if you are connecting another Sat box.
