Sweets/Drinks cabinents in your Home Cinema

I was wondering whether anyone on here had set up a section where they held their beers/drinks and sweets. I looking to do on at home and was hoping to "steal" some ideas?

Anyone?

Once my carpet is fitted in the cellar (on Monday ) I will be looking to put in my beer fridge and a sweet counter. I'm planning on making a counter with MDF and putting it at the end of a room that runs off the main cinema room. I've been looking on AVS Forums for ideas - check the Theater Room Items & Accessories sub-forum - there are a lot of examples here - popcorn makers, sweet counters - the works.

Good luck!

Something like this

Those Americans sure know how to go for the cinema experience!

Thanks to all.

I have been doing some searches on AVS, but they are very, very "american" and I was hoping someone from Europe would post their's as I think that would be more up my street.

It was more the ideas than the look of the American ones that I thought was good. I've designed what I want to build (attached).

Room is 1.17m wide, and I will have a wine rack at the bottom, then the fridge on top with some shelves for glasses, sweets, popcorn etc. next to the fridge. I intend to just have a simple frame with MDF for the main structure with glass shelves with a mirror behind them. The end wall is chocolate brown with a coffee ceiling and light terracotta walls (looks better than it sounds!).
I'm thinking of getting a plain Husky fridge (i.e. without the coke/budweiser etc. logo on the glass door).

I may put a glass door with a lock over the shelves (can't see the sweets lasting long otherwise once the kids find it!)

What do you think?

Excellent, thanks

Near exactly what I was thinking of. Im in the great position of having my father in law to build whatever I come up with and I might actually steal your design and amend it a but (sorry)

The unit will need to accomodate a fridge/small wine rack/shelves for sweets. I don't like popcorn that much, so luckily I don't need to go down the popcorn machine route and I can focus more on the sweets/beer/wine.

Great - well if you put your design up, I may use your ideas too!

Now that the carpet is fitted (all sorted yesterday), the room looks even better. The kids all want to have film parties at home now, so the drinks and sweets will go down well (and I'll probably cover the costs on savings from a couple of trips to the cinema - scary how much it costs for 5 of us plus drinks etc.!).
I'm not going to get a popcorn maker - too much hassle. Bags of toffee popcorn from the supermarket will do for me :-)

I have added my design below yours in the PDF. Sorry about the quick drawing - Im not that good at that type of thing. But it is quite similar to yours.

The fridge is going to be "something" like this one:

Im hoping I can get 5 old style jars like these for the second shelf

Then for the 2 small glass shelfs, I wanted jars like this:

I have one already (it used to be a candle that my wife had)

I wouldn't recommend toffee popcorn, kids and a NEW carpet

The kids on my side (6 30 year old lads) want a film party too - trying to organise it for the next couple of months, hopefully I will be in a position to post pics of the room and hopefully it will be near done. (waiting on retired father in law(carpenter)to stop taking long holidays! )

LOL! They know that they're in serious trouble if they make any mess anywhere in the room (and I also got a dark carpet just in case!)

I'll post some pics tonight - I keep meaning to update my web site!

Good idea with the jars - I saw these jars which I might get for sweets - saw the 'home sweet home' ones you posted on eBay - they have three different sizes.
