Hc Diy Room Speaker Heights??

Hi guys just information gathering at the moment as I await architects plans for my HC room.

The room is to be about (internal) 8ftx14ft.

I would like to know on a 7.1 set up at what heights should I have my rear & surround speakers bearing in mind that I have no choice at the front but to have floor standing with a raised centre speaker.

I am a bit confused with the fact that some people seem to have them quite high pointing down and others at about ear level.

Any advice is much appreciated.

According to Dolby it is above ear level, hth.
