Is this the right Rockwool stuff to help with soundproofing:

are you wanting to put it in the walls or make acoustic panels with it

Put it in the walls.

should be fine if you can get slab, though as long as its dense it will be fine

Rockwool = horrible, itchy stuff!

We've put rather a lot of it into our new house, internal walls are filled with 80mm, 200mm between the ground and first floor, 300mm between the first and second floor, 80mm in all the external walls over 75mm Kingspan....
