HC Room to Hot!

Hi all,
About two months now i finished sound proofing my new living room (to the best that was possible) and light controling it. Everything was fine over the winter, but now that we our getting into summer i am starting to find that the room is almost unbearable to use as it gets so hot (the curse of all the insulation). I was therefor wondering if anyone had any ideas on how i could now cool the room, the big issue of course though is that i need to keep nosie down at the same time.
Many thanks
Lizard

As you want to keep sound down i think that the only way will be an air con unit?

Do you have any idea were the best place to contact would be for them? I had always thought that air con units were quite noisy before, or are you saying i should put the unit outside of the room, with a sep pipe leading to and from it?

B&Q do an Air Con units.... the chiller unit usually sits outside and the pipes are brought in via the wall so no noise abprt from the blower....... which obviously depends on the speed you have set it at to the noise it makes, normally on full blast it ain't that noisey.

When looking for an Air Con unit esp off eBay ensure that it's a single phase as you house 99.9% won't have 3 phase, most of the office units run off 3 phase.

Hope that helps abit!
