Cutting Ikea Blackout Blinds

Hi,

Took a trip to Ikea today and brought some blackout roller blinds.

Does anyone have any words of advice on cutting them down to length?

Thanks

Jamie

Yes, be careful. I would get a length of wood amd a very sharp stanley knife use the wood as a guide and cut down the length of material, the wood should ensure you get a nice straight cut.

Not sure if they are like this but if the material is rapped around what looks like the inside of a toilet roll then i used a juior hacksaw to cut through this and a stanley knife to trim material

i a used hacksaw to cut it while rolled up. and then used a piece of wood and stanely knife to get a sharp edge, i used cardboard underneath when trimming it so the balde had something to go into and really went all the way through the cloth
