power supply to audio gear

Hi guys,

system is really coming together now.

as we now have a lot more components (seperates) than we originally intended, we are not sure if we are have adequate power for all the equipment.

initially, when we decided where we were going to place all the equipment we got our electrician to fit 2 double power points for us - 10amp in line with whatever else runs through the house on that circuit.

although everything has been running fine we are yet to connect up the brystons and what will be our final choice of front speakers (either 703s/htm4 or 804s/htm3s)

i have no idea about power and what will be required but will all this be a problem and if so what is the solution? No doubt what we have will work but will we be starving our equipment?

we are having an aircon installed soon which will require an electrician to set up a dedicated power line to it? should we have a dedicated power line for perhaps the amps? perhaps a 15amp with a 10amp double power point at the end? That way we can run the 2 Brystons off the 15amp line and everything else of the 2 doubles currently there?

really have no idea so please help

cheers,

julie

Julie, if all your power requirements are in the same spot, can you not use a
couple of Surge protectors, this should give you more than enough outlets
for your needs.

Surge Protector.

Just an example, if you shop about, you will probably find one to better suit your
requirements.

Julie, can you list all your kit, and what the power(w) or current(A) each
bit of kit uses. I cannot see you overloading a circuit.
