Help on wiring advice

Hi All,

Once again sorry for starting a new thread but have searched the forums and couldn't find anything specific in relation to my request.

I am in the process of completing my home install of Plasma and various separates. I have attached a diagram of my wiring plan and have checked that the various pieces of equipment listed support the inputs and outputs listed. My main question is related to the RF route.

I would still like to record terrestrial TV and Sky + on my Sony RDR HX 900, as well as the recording facilities on sky plus. I would also like to take advantage of the freeview tuner in the TH42Px60. So in essence does my wiring plan adequately support this functionality or do I need to add an additional Scart lead from either Sky + or the Sony to my TV?

Many thanks in advance for any help on this request.

It should do as, as you have scart from the Sky+ into the DVD recorder and I presume the RF in is coming from an outside ariel so that you can record council TV too.

Cheers Stripe,

I was hoping this should do it, just one other question will i need the Rf link from Sky + to the SOny RDR or will the scart render this redundant. Does all the other wiring add up?

Council TV nice

I wouldn't bother with the RF from the sky box, the scart does the job and the quality from it would be a waste of a DVD.

The DVD feeed from the Sony will be handled by the component lead, the RF section was to ensure that i could still record SKY + and Freeview from the TV.

The RF link between the Sony and Sky it take it is surplus to requirments.

But with the RF from the arile and the Rf out from the Sony to the TV will i still be able to do all the recording functions as above?

Cheers again for the input.

Yes that sounds right, what I mean about the RF being the waste of a DVD was the output from the Sky+ box, by all means keep the external RF in, as it wouldn't do any harm.
