Panasonic PV500 wall mount project

I have nearly finished my wall mount project now so I am putting so decent quality pics up for you to look at:

This is the room at the start, I have recently moved in so that's why the decor is terrible.

My original threads, which have more detail:

On goes the bracket, it is the universal one from RGB direct and allows tilting when on the wall so you can get your wires connected easier.

Here is the wall part of the bracket, as you can see it hooks on the slots, this allows to just to hook the top bar on for tilting.

The second mount of the new plasma, the first one was even higher! It is still too high but I was having a house warming so wanted to get it up to start running it in.

Time to start decorating, I took the wooden bean off and took out the bricks as I want a modern look.

It is now painted, I have bricked up for the fire and just the finishing touches now.
I have ordered some curtains and a new carpet.

That is an excellent contrast from the start of the project to the finish. You must be well chuffed.

The height looks intially too high for me, but in the context of the seating position probably works out well.

Any plans to put down some marble / fake marble or something else to cover up the remaining brick work?

It also goes to show you shouldn't be put off by hideous decor when buying a house.

Haha I was scrolling down the page and I found the one labled:

Today, 01:38 AM which shows your TV mounted with the wires hanging around and I was like, that looks nice but the wires dude! the wires! they are in the way! then I realized there was more pictures!...

Congratulations in turning a ladies family room into a man's home cinema! I don't normally like the Bose lifestyle systems but I like what you have done with them and it looks snazzy. Great work!

Ryan

I am not sure what to do with the remaining brick work, the solid wood floor goes up to it so I couldn't rip it all out, I may just paint it, not sure yet.

I know most people don't like BOSE but I like the convinience of the speakers and it does sound pretty good to me.

The decor was pretty bad, it is a good size/shape of room for a cinema set up.

Looks great mal, I have been lurking since the time you were looking for advice on buying the PV500.

I must admit when I first saw that fireplace I wasnt a fan, but you really have done a great job to modernise it and infact the entire room. Well done, you should be really proud.

By the way - where/what is the corner A/V unit from?

The stand is Alphason AD5/47, I got it from the classified, but is available for about £145 if you do a search on Google.

I wasn't a fan of the fireplace, the previous owners had a new chimney built to take an open fire but looks much better as it is. Their taste in decor was a bit olde...
