| Advice required : diy a good simple phono switchbox
I need a good 2 into 1 phono switchbox to feed my headphone amp at work either my PC output or my CD player as I'm getting fed up with yanking cables.
I assume this is a piece of cake to build but I want to ensure I use the best possible components. ( hence my reasons for avoiding some 5quid plastic box)
Now I know very little about electrical components so could someone advise me on the best switch type to use ( it has to be passive so really can't be a relay) to ensure no nasty noise or ground problems?
Basically I need a shopping list : phono sockets and project cases are readily available from maplins/farnell but I really need some advice on the switch itself and any other issues that you think might be relevant.
I know beekeeper had a diy component switchbox that used a relay but like I said I want a nice simple passive switchbox that has minimal effect on the sound quality.
cheers
