To calculate the box volume and porting you need some parameters for the bass units called the Thiele-Small parameters. You need at least:
Vas - the "compliance equivalent volume"
Qts - the Q of the total system (electrical and mechanical)
Fs - the free air resonance frequency of the driver
If you don't have those, or you don't have the equipment to measure them (signal generator, couple of multimeters, time and carpentry skills), give up now. You'll be guessing and will end up wasting time, money and the drivers for a sub-standard system.
These parameters often come with new driver units; if yours are not, you'll probably struggle to get them unless you can find someone helpful at Wharfedale. Of course, it's not in their interest to help you - they could sell you some pre-built speakers...
