Yes I have thought about making a wedge, but the problem is that the wedge will have to be attached to the beam and the pj to the wedge. Since this will result in 6 to 8 holes in the wedge (standard supports usually are attached with 4 screws/bolts), I wouldn't feel comfortable using wood, because I'm afraid that (especially on the thin end of the wedge) the wood will split.
A metal wedge would be the answer, but I don't have a welder.
That's why I'm hoping someone knows of some ready-made solution, or perhaps another solution I haven't thought about yet.
