DIY sub driver/amp combo

I'm looking for a subwoofer driver and amp that will partner well in a 40L - 50L sealed enclosure. Has to be easy to source them from the UK, and I'm looking at sound qulaity and reliability over anything else.

Driver size is going to be 12" and amp is going to be between 300w - 500w depending on how easy the speaker will be to drive. Wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction ?

Not sure why the link doesn't work Dave. Works ok here

There is a newer version of ebay, have a look for the seller "www.hifiblowout.de"

There is a newer design/version of the shark 12" driver, and at reasonable price.

Cheers
Lee

Thanks Dave, I enjoyed doing the project and gives me a huge grin factor when using it.

Plenty of power on tap, and i'd thought it would be underpowered with a 100w amp. (After all it's on less than 1/3 volume !!)

Cheers
Lee
