Hi i am thinking of making a DIY screen for my home cinema.
At present i am projecting onto a wall ( painted ice hite 5)

The room is dedicated so i am sideing towards putting the screen in place permanantly.

Any advise or tips would be welcome.

Try the screens forum for building advice - depending on your budget you can work with black out material or proper screen material. I used a 2"x1" mitred frame with a central brace and stretched the fabric from an IKEA Tupplar blackout blind across it with drawing pins. Works fine and I can't see I'll be wanting anything fancier in my current house.

This was an interesting thread on the LCD/DLP forum

Screen info

Pretty much telling you what gain to use for a LCD or a DLP screen and what not to use as a screen.

I've bought an factory 2nd screen from ebay which I'm going to butcher to build a fixed screen when I get my dedicated HC room started.
