there was no tech info with them they were from ikea
the only thing i know about them is that they don't seem to be the cheaper kind by that i mean if one bulb goes as one has only one light goes out as opose to a strip of say 10 i can't even remember the name of the lights a they don't appear to be in the catalogue knowing ikea they were probably called "kaboosh " or something lol............

Gaz, it all depends on what the running current/power of the lights are.
With them being mains supplied, and probably fitted with a 13A fuse, the
current that they pull may destroy a standard dimmer switch.
Without knowing the power rating, I would not recommend messing about
and trying. Sorry mate.
If you can find them on the site, or mail Ikea and find out who manufactured
them, then we would have something to work with.

Johnny.
