Best Method of Chasing Cables in walls???

As the title suggests. I'm closing in now and almost have all the equipment in terms of AV that I want and its time to start thinking about chasing the cables into the walls.

I wondered what people are using?

1. Are you going straight in with cable then filling over the top?
2. Are you using trunking to house the cables to allow for free movement
3. Is there any niche trunking designed for this.

I need to chase in 3 x speaker cables. 1 x HDMI. 1xPower from TV, 1 Wii Sensor bar cable.

This is an older picture and have some Monitor Audio R225s for left and rights(Wall mounted) and will have a Monitor Audio R250 (Wall Mounted) as a centre, but you can see what I'm trying to achieve or do you suggest a Floating wall Enclosure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make a hole from where you want to run the cable from and too, Big enough for a thin bit of trunking you may buy and slide the cable through the trunking or tape the end of the cable to the trunking, Push it through. If that fails you could use the other bits of trunking you may have purchased instead of going into the walls. Either way you win. Then polyfill over as usual. That's a basic idea that worked for me!

Thanks for the advice, I have very solid walls - plaster on 1950's airated block. It's a nightmare. I'll get the bolster out!!!

I'm still toying with the idea of a false chimney breast but as you can see from the way everything is set up the TV would have to shift even further away from the AV Rack which would offset the viewing angle.

Yeh, You should be OK depending on whats behind the plaster, obstructions etc. Good luck and nice posh setup
