12V Trigger Wire Query

Hi,

Just running all the cables in my living room at the moment and wondered what wire to use for the 12V trigger wire from PJ to screen?

Could I use some 1mm cable? (Overkill...I know, but I've got loads and should be more protected than other stuff)

1 mm will be fine, how long is the run btw
