Seen this? DIY inspiration... or copying the AV purists?

G'day, I've been doing some research for my next lounge/dining/garage conversion project (just bought an eco-friendly new-build) and I stumbled upon this site:

Bosch DIY - Project - Elegant console for TV, DVD, etc.

Does anyone know when this site came to fruition? It made me wonder if Bosch have been ripping ideas from sites such as AVForums etc...?

Seems like a watered down version of some of the more inspiring concepts devised & built here...? Hmmmmm.....

whatever their source or inspiration, I can still see that site being useful to many budding Home Cinema DIY'ers.

I agree, it'll be useful to those who want to take their first (or second) steps into Audio Visual DIY...

Its cool that tooling companies are now using modern project ideas to highlight how cost effective it is to 'have a go' rather than 'get someone in'...

I'll be starting my new Home Cinema/Media room project soon. Its amazing how some of the concepts on this site have exploded into many living-rooms throughout the UK. Its great to see the design process & how the better ideas evolve.

It'd be interesting to poll which is the most popular on the site and to obtain a set of standards, i.e. TV height, distance & basic speaker formation... I guess someone will be motivated enough one day. Lol.

Long may it continue...

And you could add this behind the unit,

Bosch DIY - Project - TV wall unit for flat screen television
