LED lighting transformer

Hi,

I'm considering using a few LED MR16s in my set up to provide lighting effects, but have a few issues regarding how to power them.

The LED bulbs I am planning on buying are rated anything from 3-7w each. If I were to use the 20-60VA transformers I have now what would happen if I were under the minimum 20W rating? If were to connect a single or two LED bulbs to the transformer, would it really make a difference?

You need to be careful, as I think that LEDs require power supplies specifically designed to power LEDs (or at least a particular type), not just a standard ELV transformer. You might get more specific advice if you post your question in the home automation/lighting forum, two up from this one.

You need to use an LED Driver.
I find Rapid Electronics to be about the cheapest, with fast delivery too.
