BlackDwarf's First Setup

Hey all. Now, first of all, I don't have any decent AV gear, but, I'm moving into my first place in 10 days time, and I wanted some advice, and to document any progression.

Current Gear:
Samsung LE37R87BDX
Xbox 360 Elite w/ HDDVD
Xbox XBMC w/ Component (streaming media from my DNS-323)
Sky+HD
Creative DDTS-100
Creative Inspire T6060
Crappy Wooden TV stand from Argos

Now, obviously, the Creative's are PC speakers, hence the DDTS-100, but, they work, and are more for movies. They will be fine for the time being, but I'd love to upgrade to some more stuff, namely:

Wishlist:
PJ
Amp
Blue-Ray
5.1 System w/ Floor Stander fronts
Nice AV rack for the above stuff, and a nice glass tv stand

Now for possible setups. You'll have to ignore a)the shitness of the pics, and the lame 'artwork', and b) the lens I used on the SLR made everything decievingly small, the room is bigger than it looks

Setup 1: TV in front of window, with sofa at back wall. Fairly dull, nothing out of the ordinary.

Setup 2: TV Wallmounted on chimneybreast, sofa on right wall, some sort of shelving in the alcove to the left. (There's a bookcase going in the right alcove)

Major issue is the fact the place is rented, and all brand-new, and my landlady is one of my team leaders from work, so, best not **** her off putting massive holes everywhere etc.

Re: BlackDwarf's First Setup

If you can get away with it mount the tv on the wall, you can get some discreet trunking to run your cables up to it so no channeling out the walls.
