Evening all,
I am moving into a rented flat on Thursday and I want to wall mount my Pio. I am not 100% sure what type of wall it is (it will in interier front room to Kitchen wall) but the landlady says it is solid and pretty much ruled it out being a stud wall.
This leaves us 3 options:
1. Get lucky and find there is a small gap between the plasterboard and the brick, giving room to drop the cables down.
2. Chisel out the plaster, and hide the wires in the wall.
3. Trunking on the outside of the wall.
The main problem we have is this wall is wallpapered, so we are going to have to strip and paint the whole wall if we end up 'going in the wall'.
This is my first choice but the landlady isn't too happy with us stripping the whole wall so unless I can convince her otherwise I am going to have to use trunking.
Is it safe to put the HDMI and power cables alongside each other down the trunking (either down the wall or in the wall).
Can somone recommend the best place to get in wall or exterior trunking?
Sorry for the long post
