Is it a US size? Can you get the gun from a US supplier?

Chris | Chris,
Where are you located? I may be able to lend you one if you're local.
Cheers
Rob

Hello mate,
Well that is a very kind offer , im in middlewich cw10 . A little background on the project. I have found a supplier of the silenseal stuff, to seal some floorboards and around the perimeter of an upstairs room to try and help with noise. I was surprised to find that its only about 7 pounds a tube. I thought it would be more judging by the price of the proper green glue adhesive. Uk link here : Green Glue Slide Show |

I don't think it worth posting the cartridge gun, would probably cost more than buying one.
I'd be very interested to hear how you get on with the silenseal as I need a bit more GG and don't want to fork out for another 12 tubes and £15 per tube is just ridiculous IMO.
Cheers
Rob

No worries mate, ill get one from somewhere. Regards the glue itself I think the silenseal is more of a perimeter acoustic grade sealant as apposed to the actual green glue is used as an adhesive isn't it ??, to stick plaster board up with . Im not sure that the silenseal would do that but it might be worth asking them. Although at half the price they are probably unlikely to recommend it over green glue !. THanks again.

THanks again. | Green glue isn't actually a glue (misleading name I know). When it dries (that takes AGES) it has the consistency of fresh snot / bogeys. It is still quite elastic and can be deformed with little pressure and it is this consistency that makes it good at absorbing vibrations/sound (I believe).
Anyway, good luck with your project.
Cheers
Rob
