Are ther any rules to the type / colours of paint finish that are best suited to the HC room ?

once again David if its a dedicated HT get it dark then even darker

Have you got a projector in there as this makes an awful lot of difference to what I`d recommend on the walls and ceiling.

tell us what you`ve got and I`m sure people will jump in with ideas

light bright paintwork will simply wash out the screen image trust me

I`ve done my screen wall. side walls and ceiling in the velvet out 2 mtr, then the rest of the room is done in a lovely dark Maraschino Mocha matt emulsion. The different its made to my pj image is amazing
