new home cinema

I am planning to build a cine room.
The room is approx 3.3 wide (where screen will be) and 4.5 long.
i was thinking of project etc drop down screen from ceiling and speaker hidden in wall covered with acoustic transp fabric. Is this the right road to go down or will I be able to achieve a better result with a Plasma / LCD screen instead of projector?
please help

Re: new home cinema

congrats on building a dedicated room - you are in the right place for advice, so i'd recommend spending some time looking at the owners gallerys and reading (as there are lots of threads)...

but, to answer your question, it depends what your target screen size is..... if you are going for something in the 50" range, then plasma should be a consideration... however, if bigger, the projection is the way to go - especially if you can make the room nice and dark - you dont need to spend a fortune on a projectors these days either which is great - again, many solid recommendations based on experience in the forums.

Sorry cant be more help, but hope this gets you started.
