The Man Room - Garage Home Cinema Install (Small)

Hey all

I am new to the forum but though i would share my project with you all.

I have a detached garage that up until now stores all my junk. Through the garage is my only access to the garden from the street so i am not intending to do a full install.

My intention is to build an insulated end room about 1.8m wide, just enough to get a double sofa one end.
I am using a great free tool from Google to plan the install it is pictures of this that I want to share.
Fingers crossed for me that I get this off the ground.

Russell

Re: The Man Room - Garage Home Cinema Install (Small)

Can you make it any larger ?

By the time you get speakers and kit in their you will have little room fro friends and popcorn

Nothing worse than finishing and wishing you had more space

Bigger.... You have no idea how long I have spent looking for extra space. unfortunately it still needs to be a garage....

it seems that it’s a little space or no space at all so I thought that I would post the idea of a small room on the forum so people can see that it is 'at most' adequate or at least people can point and laugh at me!

plus I’m 6' 8" tall and 19 stone!

so I guess.... wish me luck.

Looks like a good project mate , although with you in there fella its definately going to be a "man" room not a "men" room. !!

(Hmm, that sounds odd which ever way I say it - not sure I want to go in !!)

Re: The Man Room - Garage Home Cinema Install (Small)

lol.... maybe I should explain Man Room... I think it is an easy way of saying no doilies, soft furnishings, sewing machines, animals, kids, makeup, etc....

have i got my point across?

Don't worry you would be perfectly safe.

Great Idea... However i could not fit a smart car in my garage for all the kids toys, bikes and other rubbish we tend to accumulate over the years.

Quick show of hands.... Who here puts a car in the garage?

If all else fails i can sleep in the new room and then put my setup in my bedroom.

Cheers
