Fireplace LCD + Fire
I currently have a brick flue. I don't want to knock it down because I would need to support the flue above it and it would be costly and a bit unnecessary.
I want to mount my LCD TV on the fireplace and also install a fire otherwise the bottom will look a little bare, however due to the heat affecting the LCD I am unsure which to get. Would a wall fire be the best option? do they fan out heat or does it just rise like a regular fire? I wont really be using it that much it would be more for effect. Someone at work also mentioned that I could just get a regular stove fireplace and just not use it, or get one that has a light effect as well and just turn the light on. newbie question but is a gel fire the same as a wall mounted one? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also, anyone know if it's possible to mount in-wall speakers onto brick? Last edited by APatel; 17-06-2009 at 7:52 PM. |
