Touch Screen Frame-metal interference?!?

I have had a Sanyo touchscreen installed in my wall to operate a PC juke box. I removed the old plastic frame surround so that I could use an aluminium frame I had made in Germany. The frame looks great but interferes with the operation of the screen. The screen is capacititive touch enabled and I'm assuming it's the fact that the frame is metal that is causing the problem. Anything I can do to get round this? Would "earthing" the frame through the screen chassis help?

Can you put a bit of insulation tape around the inside of the frame to isolate it?

Just wondering where you got the touchscreen from
as I am thinking of doing a similar project and would be interested to know some details about the system you installed in general ie' hardware /software you used

Managed to get the screen from Ebay for £200. I think they retailed at about £900 at the time. The software is a heavily reskinned (and still not finished) version of Musicmatch.

The other hardware is an old PC tower which is hidden in the wall. It's only a P350 but is plenty for this application. The soundcard is a Yamaha SW1000XG (slight overkill). This feeds a stereo amp (also hidden). Speakers are Kef Eggs

Have you looked at "Music lobby" www.cinemaronline.com

Their software looks like it does the job very nicely.
