Just one thing - with the receiver in the kitchen, there might be interference when the microwave is switched on. Not sure if senders these days are so susceptible to this (the one we use is about 3 years old so things may have improved since then), but we have the sender in the front room with a receiver upstairs in a bedroom and we see some interference when the microwave is switched on.

Other than when the microwave is on would you say that the picture is of a good standard?

Re: Wireless Video Sender

In theory anything which uses a radio signal (Microwaves, Wi Fi, DECT phones etc) MIGHT interfere with a video sender.

Personally I have no problems with DECT phones & don't have Wi Fi, but the microwave certainly causes problems.

It's also worth pointing out that a Video Sender is unlikely to give the same quality picture, as a TV connected directly to your Sky Box (though it can still be a pretty good picture)

The actual picture quality will vary depending on:
- the quality of the Video Sender
- the distance between the transmitter & receiver
- what's in between them (thick walls, pipes etc)

Have said all that, I use an AEI Digisender and I am pretty happy with the picture quality.

You can buy them at Argos here:

I would say the picture is definitely watchable, although, as already mentioned here, it isn't as good as having a direct connection. I'd say it was similar quality to the kind of picture you get on analogue terrestrial TV signals. So not quite as sharp as digital and maybe some very slight blurring or ghosting. You only really notice it if you know it's there.

Hope that's of some help!

I find the Technika TT-07 Audio Video Sender from Tesco at £24.97 to be very good. I got it because it also works with my NTL remote (which few do).
I saw it recently in-store for about £20, but don't know if the offer is still on. (at £25 each I bought 3 so I could use 1 sender and 3 receivers for 2 bedrooms and the kitchen. I get interference from my wireless router when using the one alongside my computer, so I turn off the router when using that one.
Hope that helps.

Suniil,

Lidl Welltech system comes complete with transmitter, receiver, cables power supplies etc to give you a fully functioning system that can transmit from one location to another.

If you wish to transmit to more than one location you will need additional receivers or just but more than one complete system as someone else has indicated that they did earlier in the thread. If you have additional system you can transmit different channels to different locations at same time but if only additional receivers you can only receive what transmitter is sending.

Hope this helps - I have just got a system from Lidl myself and am contemplating getting at least one more.

Re: Wireless Video Sender

I have only seen something like this briefly round someone else's house, but would it enable me to view on my kitchen TV a recorded programme being played back from my DVD recorder on the main TV in the living room? It sounds just what I am looking for.

I have just bought the Welltech from Lidl and the picture is fine but it wont work with my Sky+ remote.Anyone else find it the same.
Does anyone know if the Technika one from Tesco will work with Sky.
