Cinema / games room - Which amp and speakers to buy?

Hi,

I was wondering if any of the experts could provide me with some opinions on what I should be looking at for a new room that is currently being built please?

The room is going to be roughly 12ft - 14ft but the surround will fill half the length of the room in a space 12ft - 7ft in a neat rectangle so that the speakers can be placed evenly around the seating position.

The general idea is that I will have the PS3 in it so that I can play games and watch blu-rays in there without annoying my poor wife and the other half will have my office set up in it for my working from home.

To give you an idea of what I've been used to, in my front room at the moment, I have the following:
TV: Samsung UE40C8000
Speakers: Tannoy SFX 5.1
Amp: ONKYO TX NR808

Now, I love the TV I have there, so for the new room I'm thinking of going along the same lines with maybe one of the newer models, but not the latest (to keep the costs down)
For the speakers, I would really like to step up quite some way from what I'm used to and would really like to have some floor standers.
With the amp, I like the model I have but have not been in a position to compare to much else other than the Sony 820 I had before. I also appreciate that I probably haven't heard anything like the full capacity of it with the speakers I have.

Budget: overall I want to keep it to around £3k for everything. Hopefully a little lower at around £2700.
For the TV, I've looked at the UE40ES6800. Does anyone have any views on this or good alternatives please?
I know these are 3D TVs. That isn't overly important. I got the current model because I loved the general picture quality so much.

For the speakers, I originally started looking at the B&W 684 range, but in trying to bring the price down, I've been reading up a little on the Dali Zensor 5 5.1 package. Mainly because of magazine and online reviews.
I haven't heard them at all yet but the general opinion seems to be high.
Any views or alternatives at the same price?

Now, assuming I can get the speaker package for around £1300, and the TV around £800, I will have the possibility at looking for an amp in the price range of £600 - £900.
Does anyone have some recommendations of a good model to pair with the speakers I have in mind please?
As I have the Onkyo at the moment, I have started off by looking at the later models of them, but guess that I will be told to broaden my search a little.

I'm no expert when it comes to the technical aspects but will look to try out a couple of options in a demo somewhere before I buy so that I hear what I am getting for my money and what I think sounds best.

Many thanks in advance for any opinions offered.

There are a few good deals on outgoing models right now that have 3D compatibility and so on that should suit the Dalis.

I decided to go for a Denon 2113 with the Dali Zensor 5 5.1 speakers. Found a great price for the 2 at AV-LAND of just £1359 for the two. I couldn't really turn it down at that price.

General opinion on various threads seems to suggest Denon as a great partner for the Dali speakers.

I'll have to wait for the room to be built before I can give an opinion on the result, but will report back for info later.....
